1,109,027. Closets with washing apparatus. M. C. GEIKIE. 6 Oct., 1966 [12 Oct., 1965 (3); 19 Oct., 1965; 11 Feb., 1966 (2); 3 May, 1966], No. 44793/66. Heading E1C. Hot and cold water supplied through non- return valves 1, 2 is mixed in a valve 3 and plasses by pipe 9 to impinge on a soap or detergent dispenser 10 before passing out of faucet 28, for hand washing, used water passes through a grill 13 in the base of a basin depression 12 in the lid of a flushing cistern and is retained in the cistern for the following flush. The pipe 9 contains a float operated valve determining the full water level. Flushing may be by lift valve 26, which may provide full or partial discharge, or by piston started siphon with two discharge quantities. A fan may be used to extract gases from the system and a ball valve in the lift valve 26 prevent their flow into the cistern. The cistern may carry a roll of high wet-strength paper, damped by the incoming water, for washing purposes.
