Abstract

1,106,694. Semi-conductor pulse circuits. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 13 May, 1965 [6 Aug., 1964], No. 20306/65. Heading H3T. The duration of overshoot in the output of a pulse transformer is reduced by connecting a Zener diode in series with the load so that the diode is forward biased by the pulse and is driven into its Zener breakdown region by the beginning of the overshoot, becoming non- conductive when the overshoot voltage falls below the Zener breakdown voltage. When the primary of the pulse transformer is driven by a switching transistor, the arrangement is stated to facilitate turning off the transistor.
