Abstract

1,104,851. Friction clutches. BELORUSSKY AUTOMOBILNY ZAVOD. 10 March, 1965, No. 10118/65. Heading F2C. The pressure fluid supply to an hydraulicallyoperated friction clutch 20 connecting a gear 17 to a power take-off shaft 13, is controlled by a slide valve 44 located within the shaft 13 and coaxial therewith. The valve spool 32 is urged right by a spring 35 to a position in which it connects a supply line 41 through ducts 39, 44, 48, 45, 47, 37, 30 to a clutch disengaging servomotor 28. Energization of an electromagnet 52 acts through a rod 51 to move the valve spool 32 left and connect the supply line 41 through ducts 39, 44, 48, 45, 47, 36 31 to a chamber 29 the pressure in which moves left a piston 27 and clutch presser plate 22 to engage the clutch.
