Abstract

1,103,584. Boxes. COMMERCIAL DRUG & CHEMICAL CO. Ltd. 30 Nov., 1964 [2 Dec., 1963], No. 47499/63. Heading B8P. [Also in Division G2] A resilient packing for fragile articles, e.g. a cine camera and its accessories, comprises an unapertured base sheet 4 of foam rubber, polythene foam &c. and one or more layers 6a &c. of the same material with holes 7 to fit the articles. Another unapertured layer 5 can be laid on top of the apertured layers 6. The packing is illustrated as contained in a camera case (1), Fig. 1 (not shown), having a hinged lid (3) with the unapertured layer (5) in it, and provided with a handle. The bottoms of the holes 7, Fig. 3, are built-up with pads 11 of foam rubber to fit the carried articles. Alternatively, the case 1 may be omitted. More than one resilient packing may be used in one case, and one resilient packing may be incorporated in the lid. The resilient packing may be provided only in the lid of the case.
