Abstract

1,102,564. Medicinal or cosmetic dispensers. J. GABLER. 9 June, 1965 [10 June, 1964], No. 24181/64. Heading B8P. [Also in Division F1] A cylindrical container which may be of plastics material is formed on the inside surface of its side wall with a screw-thread 2, with which a circular plunger plate 10 engages, the plate 10 being screwed towards the upper end of the container when a pair of rods 11, integral with an apertured end closure 4, are rotated. The rods 11 pass through holes in the plate 10; and the closure 4 has a projecting part 6 which may be gripped to rotate the rods. The closure has a peripheral bead 7 sprung into a groove 8 in the upper end of the side wall, an annular channel 9 being formed in the closure to give flexibility. A metal casing 15 may be provided. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the rods (11) are integral with a rotatable container base. The positions of the bead 7 and groove 8 may be reversed. The container may be used to dispense a medicinal or cosmetic paste or cream; or for a solidified stick, in which case the plate 10 has lugs or is shaped to retain the stick.
