[Also in Division E1F] In a machine for the digging of clay picks are caused by the conveying means of an endless conveyer to, at the leading end of the conveyer, dig out the clay and load it on to the conveyer, which is vertically swingable and discharges on to a second conveyer mounted like the first conveyer on a mobile chassis, The picks may be mounted either on supports connected between and at intervals along parallel conveyer chains or on a drum at the end of the conveyer, the drum then being rotated by the central, endless, scraper bar-carrying chains of the conveyer.
