Abstract

Tyre cord comprises two intertwisted yarns, one of nylon and the other of polyester. The yarns have twist multipliers (product of the number of turns per inch and the square root of the denier) of 288-360 and 391-462 respectively and are twisted in the same direction: they are twisted together, in the opposite direction to their twists, at a twist multiplier of 710-870.
