Abstract

[Also in Division G1] A clamp for securing a device 10 to the periphery of a ring 4 comprises a hand lever 18 attached to a cam 16 by a spindle 17. The device 10 has a tongue 12 located in a groove 13 between flanges 14, 15 of the ring so that in one position of the hand lever, the cam 16 binds against the flange 14 to look the device 10 to the ring. Rotation of the hand lever releases the cam from the flange to enable the position of the device 10 on the ring to be adjusted. A further clamp for securing a body 20 in a tube 7 comprises a rubber plug 28 and a sleeve 21 glued to the body 20 as shown in Fig. 4. The sleeve is provided with slots 23, 24 so that when a bolt 29 is screwed into a nut 32 which is prevented from rotating, the plug is compressed between a washer 31 and the body 20. The plug is therefore radially expanded and forces the halves of the sleeve defined by the slots against the inner surface of a bush 22, thereby clamping the body 20 in the tube.
