Abstract

1,196,732. Air filter. DAVIS INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT CO. Ltd. 1 Sept., 1967 [7 June, 1966], No. 25254/66. Heading BIT. An air filter element 4 of broken-celled foamed plastics is held to corrugated shape by plastics-coated cords 5. The element is clamped between frames (1, 2), of wood, metal or plastics, which are held together by spring clips (3) or by being pushed into opposed channels (11) of a peripheral frame. A wire supporting frame (6, 7, 8) is inserted between the element and the downstream frame (2) and wires (8) have loops (9) to accommodate cords 5 (Figs. 1, 2, not shown). A series of frames (1) may be bolted to a support (10), with clips (3) extending from between frames (1) and support (10) across frames (1) to engage frames (2).
