Abstract
1,195,355. Continuous dyeing of polyester materials. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 30 Jan., 1969 [2 Feb., 1968; 13 Jan, 1969], No. 5212/69. Heading D1B. Textile materials consisting of or containing polyester fibres are dyed 'by the Thermosol process with padding liquors containing disperse dyes, a polyacrylic acid alkylene glycol ester and an alkoxylation product of a Mannich compound produced from a phenol, formaldehyde and an amine, or a 1-2 -SO 3 M groups containing alkoxylation product of a fatty amine or quaternisation product thereof in which M is hydrogen, an alkali metal atom, alkaline earth metal atom or an ammonium group. The proportion by weight between the polyacrylic acid alklene glycol ester and the alkoxylation product is preferably 1:1-10. Preferred polyacrylic acid alkylene glycol esters are the hydroxyethyl or hydroxypropyl ester of polyacrylic acid or polymethacrylic acid.
