Abstract
1,195,199. Insulin preparations. HORLICKS PHARMACEUTICALS Ltd. 22 Nov., 1967 [25 Nov., 1966], No. 52756/66. Heading A5B. Hypoglycaemic compositions comprise an insulin compound and a compound of the formula: wherein A is a C 1-8 straight or branched aliphatic chain and R<SP>1</SP> is hydroxy, C 1-3 alkoxy, aralkoxy, aryloxy which may carry halogen or alkoxy groups, an amino group or a mono- or dialkylamino or alkyleneimino group and/or salts thereof. Any conventional insulin may be used, e.g. amorphous or crystallime zinc insulin or N-acyl insulin and the compositions may be in forms for rectal or parenteral administration.
