Abstract

119,424. Forisdal, A. O. May 25, 1918. Handles or holders with clamping retaining-devices for brushes &c.-The stock 7 of a broom &c. is clamped between a member 1 secured to the handle 4, and a loose member 2 pivoting about its upper end 10 when drawn towards the handle by the clamping device. The member 1 which may be formed from sheet metal has lugs 3' embracing and driven into the handle 4, a central curved hook or grip 5, and two lateral lugs 6 which serve as abutments against which the upper side of the stock 7 is pressed by the clamping-hook 11 on the loose member 2 as it pivots at 10 against the side of the handle 4 when tightened-up by the bolt and nut 8, 9.
