Abstract

1,193,550. Screw presses. HILLER & LUTZ O.H.G. 25 Nov., 1968 [7 Dec., 1967], No. 55755/68. Addition to 1,144,049. Heading B5F. In a screw press described in Specification 1,144,049 a resiliently mounted bearing 6 is interposed between a support 1 and a collar 7 on the ram spindle 4, the resilient bearing absorbing the low load retraction force of the ram, while a stop shoulder 8 of the support 1 closely spaced from the collar 7 absorbs the impetus of the ram during full load pressing operation thereof. The bearing 6 is mounted adjacent a sleeve 9 spaced from a second sleeve 11 by compression springs 10. Sleeve 11 supports a bearing 12 for the flywheel 2 which is adjustably secured to the ram spindle 4 by a screw 13.
