Abstract
1,193,378. Cancer antigen complex. RAND DEVELOPMENT CORP. 15 March, 1968 (11 April, 11967], No. 12762/68. Heading A5B. A complex for vaccine and therapeutic treatment of cancer, comprising a water-soluble cancer antigen that is coupled to animal (e.g. rabbit, horse or sheep) gamma-globulin by bisdiazotised benzidine, is prepared by reacting the complex components together to form the complex, which is then separated. The antigen may be prepared from tumour or leukaemia tissue. The antigen may be prepared from tumour tissue by the homogenisation thereof in a mixture of water and a fluorocarbon diluent to provide an undenatured nuoleoprotein in the fluorocarbon extract comprising the antigen.
