Alpha copper base alloys consist, by weight, of Cu #63% Pb 1-3% # Zr 0À5 -1À6% one or both # mischmetal 0À25-0À8% Zn (#0À5%) - balance apart from impurities. The following ratios should obtain:- #0À5 Zr to 1 Pb; and/or #0À25 mischmetal to 1 Pb. The alloys may be hot-worked without cracking Uses. Keys and printers' matrices.
