Abstract

119,297. Mond, A. Oct. 3, 1917. Hydrometers.-Relates to glass measuring-vessels, such as hydrometer jars. The graduated cylindrical part of the measure, is made from a drawn glass tube and is provided with a bottom serving as the foot on which the cylinder stands, the whole or part thereof being removable for allowing the cylinder to be cleaned and dried. This may take the form of a ground-in glass foot, or a foot of any suitable shape and material having a plug or stopper, either formed on the foot itself or separate thereupon, in which case the foot takes the shape of a socket. Alternatively, the lower end of the cylinder is splayed to form a foot, and is closed by a stopper.
