The subject matter of this Specification is identical with that of Specification 1, 192, 231, but the claims relate to a system in which the moisture content and dry weight of a fibrous sheet formed from a layer of fibrous slurry emerging from a headbox are simultaneously maintained at predetermined values by automatic control, including control of the slurry emerging from the headbox, in dependence on measurements of dry weight and moisture content.
