Abstract

1,190,728. Valves. A. SCHULE. 27 Feb., 1969 [13 March, 1968], No. 10648/69. Heading F2V. A valve for liquids and/or gases has a cage 4 with apertures 7 mounted axially of a housing 1 and a tubular diaphragm 5 which can be internally pressurized through passage 15 and expanded into contact with the cage to stop flow through the apertures 7. In a modification a two-piece housing clamps a two-piece doublecone apertured cage between the pieces and a pressurizable tubular diaphragm, which is thicker adjacent its end clamped portions, is mounted in the cage so as to be expansible to close apertures in both cone pieces.
