Abstract

1,190,650. Drawers. L. W. L. ALSTON. 6 Nov., 1968 [8 Nov., 1967], No. 50860/67. Heading A4B. A drawer includes a back 1 and two sides 13 of plastics material, the back 1 comprising a box-section extrusion and the sides 13 comprising injection mouldings. The rear ends of the sides 13 carry laterally extending connecting elements 17-19 which fit into cavities (2-4, Fig. 2) in the ends of the back 1. The elements 17-19 carry wedge-shaped lugs 12 which anchor in apertures (9, 10, Fig. 1) in the back 1. Runner grooves 14 are provided in the sides 13. Grooves 6, 26 in the back 1 and sides 13 receive edges of a drawer bottom 7. The front end of each side 13 carries barbed, cylindrical pegs 30 which engage bores in a drawer front. Weightsaving grooves 16 are formed in the sides 13.
