Abstract
1,190,049. Polydiene-polyamide compositions. BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK A.G. 6 Sept., 1967 [7 Sept., 1966], No. 40723/67. Headings C3P and C3R. A moulding composition comprises a mixture of 95-40% by weight of a poly-1,3-diene, 5-60% by weight of a polyamide and, with reference to 100 parts by weight of the polymer mixture, 0À1-60 parts by weight of a salt of a metal of Groups II A , III A , IV A , I B , II B , III B , IV B , V B , VI B , VII B or VIII of the Periodic Table with an aliphatic carboxylic acid, hydrofluoric acid, or phosphoric acid. Suitable diene polymers include polybutadiene, polyisoprene, and copolymers of butadiene with styrene, acrylonitrile, n- and tert-butyl acrylate, and vinyl pyridiene, chloroprene-styrene copolymer, isoprene-acrylonitrile copolymer, and butadienestyrene block copolymer. The polyamides include hexamethylene diamine/adipic acid/caprolactam condensate, polycaprolactam, polycapryllactam, hexamethylene diamine/adipic acid/diaminodiphenylmethane condensate, polycapryllactam, hexamethylene iminoacetic acid/ 2,5-diketo-piperazine condensate, and hexamethylene diamine/adipic acid/capryllactam condensate. Salts employed include zinc stearate, manganese fluoride, magnesium maleate, aluminium oleate, barium phosphate, silver (II) fluoride, lanthanum (III) fluoride, zirconyl phosphate, chromium (III) fluoride, cobalt (II) propionate, and tin phosphate. The compositions are vulcanizable.
