Abstract
1,189,547. Valves. F. DEL B. LOMBAS. 13 Dec., 1968 [15 Dec., 1967], No. 59537/68. Heading F2V. A valve for simultaneously controlling the flow of a plurality of streams A, B of fluid comprises a main body portion 1 having a plurality of parallel bores 2, a recess 10 associated with each bore and formed in an underface of the main body portion, a valve closure member 3 in each bore, a base body portion 11 connected to the underface and having an inlet 12 associated with each bore and an outlet 13 associated with each recess, and operating means 6, 7, 8 for simultaneously sliding each closure member between an open position and a closed position in which the closure member prevents flow through the pertinent inlet. The closure members are provided with seal rings 9 and a resilient pad 4 to close the inlet 14. The members 3 may be elliptical and be moved by resilient means to ensure smooth closing. A push-button may be used in place of the operating means illustrated and three or four bores may be provided.
