Abstract

1,189,358. Printing apparatus. GESTETNER Ltd. 8 May, 1968 [21 July, 1967], No. 33733/67. Heading B6C. Flexible printing or blanking plate 17 is attached to plate cylinder 25 by engagement of hooks 3<SP>1</SP> in holes 20 and by abutment of its leading edge 18 on the lower surface of adjustable stop plate 2. Initially, edge 18 is received in step 19, then passes to the surface of stop plate 2 when cylinder 25 is rotated. Stop plate 2 is slotted, and is carried on threaded bolts, so the spacing of its lower surface from the hooks 3<SP>1</SP> can be varied. Grub screws 8 allow the clamp made up of stop plate 2, hooks 3<SP>1</SP> and the base on which the hooks 3<SP>1</SP> and stop plate 2 are mounted to be adjusted as a whole relative to cylinder 25, on which it is held by pegs which fit in apertures 16, 16<SP>1</SP> and by engagement of blade 5<SP>1</SP> with a groove in the peg in aperture 16<SP>1</SP>.
