Abstract

1,188,260. Door opening device. ETABS. ALLIBERT. 4 July, 1968 [5 July, 1967], No. 31860/68. Heading E2M. An opening device 5 for the door 3 of a cupboard 2 comprises a lever 5a having one end 5b accessible from the outside of the cupboard and the other end 5c abutting against the inside surface of the door. The lever is pivoted on the cupboard by means of a notch 5d and a tongue 9 in the lever which bears around a pivot pin 6 formed integrally with the cupboard. A blade spring 10 may be attached to the. lever with its free end bearing against the inner surface of the cupboard so that the lever is returned to its original position after each opening operation. The device is particularly applicable to cupboards in which the doors are sunk in a fixed recess.
