Abstract

1,187,620. Plant container. W. G. GRANT & CO. Ltd. 21 Nov., 1968 [20 Dec., 1967], No. 57975/67. Heading A1E. A free-standing container for plants comprises a side wall of sheet mesh provided with a lining to prevent root penetration, and a bottom wall which will prevent rooting medium from escaping whilst allowing root penetration. The bottom 3 is preferably separable and comprises galvanised wires 6 and strong paper with slots 5. The side wall portion 1 is of galvanised steel wire or the lining 2 is asphalt impregnated paper felt.
