Abstract

1,187,039. Shelving. D. D. JONES and A. T. B. JONES. 23 Nov., 1967 [23 Nov., 1966], No. 52419/66. Heading A4B. [Also in Division F2] Shelves 14 are supported between spaced standards 12, 13 on rods 24 with threaded ends 25, 26 each engaged in the threaded through-bore 23 of a fitting 10 with a head 20 and a shank 21 engaged in a selected aperture 22 in the standards 12, 13. The rods 24 seat in grooves 27 in the underside of the shelf 14. Additional shelves 15 or 31 may loosely rest on the head of a bolt 32 screwed into the fitting 10 or on the head 20 of the fitting. The ends of the grooves 27 are recessed, as at 29, to accommodate the head 20 or bolt 32. Each fitting 10 may receive rods 24, 24a engaged in opposite ends.
