Abstract

1,186,681. Multiple fastenings for doors. R. DUNCAN. 15 June, 1967 [18 April, 1966], No. 16811/66. Heading E2A. A door fastening comprises a pair of bolts 15 which are operated by rotation of a disc 13 by means of a handle 12 on a spindle 11 and which can then be secured by a keyoperated lock 18, the bolt 19 of which moves into the path of an abutment 17 of the disc and is supported, in its shot position, by a fixed abutment 20. The bolt 19 is of rectangular cross-section and is arranged so that its narrower sides engage the abutments 17 and 20. A third bolt 15a is also actuated by the disc 13, the three bolts being actuated through links 14, 14 and 15c.
