Abstract

1,186,501. Glazing vehicle wind screens. ROOTES MOTORS Ltd. 2 June, 1967 [3 March, 1966], No. 9432/66, Heading E1R. A vehicle windscreen assembly comprises a window pane 10 having on one side a reveal moulding 12 with retention U-shaped portion 13 integral therewith and in engagement with the other side of the pane to secure the moulding to the pane and a frame 11 in which the pane is held by adhesive 15 (e.g. of synthetic rubber composition, neoprene or butyl rubber and which frame has a shoulder 17 inclined to the pane and engaged by a part of the moulding 12 to support the pane against movement in its own plane and towards the frame. The pane is secured to the bottom of the channel 13 by adhesive 14. The moulding may be of plastics (Figs. 4 and 5) with an embedded decoration.
