Abstract

1,184,664. Drainage gulleys. ALTHON (CONTRACTING) Ltd. 14 Dec., 1967 [15 Dec., 1966], No. 56219/66. Heading E1G. [Also in Division A1] Where it overlies a storm water drain, the side walls of a road or land drainage ditch are lined with opposed pairs of concrete units 21 each having a shoulder 17 to support a perforated cover slab 18. The remainder of the ditch is lined with known open-ended trough-like members, Fig. 1 (not shown) which are laid end to end and have perforated cover slabs (18) and diverging perforated side walls (12) with which the units 21 are aligned. As shown each unit 21 is of uniform thickness with a foot 21. In a modification each unit increases in thickness towards its base.
