Abstract

1,183,808. Harvesters. LELY-DECHENTREITER MASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H. 11 April, 1967 [9 May, 1966], No. 8569/69. Divided out of 1,182,123. Heading A1F. A control mechanism for interrupting the drive to the threshing drum 1 of a combine harvester includes a pulley or roller 6 which is spring loaded to tension the driving belt 3 of the drive transmission to the drum 1. The pulley 6 is mounted on lever 5 which is connected to the frame of the harvester by link 7, spring 8 and eyebolt 9. The tension in spring 8 is adjusted by means of eyebolt 9. The lever 5 is also connected by arm 10 and Bowden cable 12 to lever 12 near the driving seat. By operating the lever 12 in the direction A the driving belt 3 is slackened and the drum 1 stops. A retaining member (not shown) may hold the lever in this position.
