[Also in Division F1] A valve rocker arm stamped from sheet metal has two ends 13, 14 and a median bent portion, one end 13 being bent relatively to the median bend and the other end adapted for carrying an adjustable abutment 18, Fig. 6, lateral margins 11 each being bent through 90 degrees into two parallel walls forming a channel section and the walls providing pivots bearing support 15 for the rocker arm. The invention also includes a method of making the rocker arm from a single metal sheet in which the arm is blanked, bent to form the walls and curved end, formed with holes and hardened, e.g. by thermo-salt bath, cyanide process or sulphur taftrizing. In a modification the parallel side walls (11<SP>11</SP>), Fig. 5 (not shown), extend almost the entire length of the rocker arm.
