Abstract

1,182,071. Delivering sheets. ROY M. MOFFITT CO. 8 Jan., 1968, No. 980/68. Heading B8R. Sheets are removed from the wickets 16 of a continuously moving wicket conveyer (12, Fig. 1) by an endless conveyer, the tapes 60 of which co-operate with suction boxes 42. the sheets being deposited on the tapes while these latter are stationary and a wicket sensing means 92 functioning after the wicket clears the sheet held on the tapes to actuate these for a time sufficient for the tapes to move the sheet from the path of the wickets and deposit the sheet at a predetermined position. The period of operation of the tapes is shorter than the time required for the next wicket to be moved into position adjacent to the tapes.
