Abstract

1,181,844. Bushes. F.T. PRODUCTS Ltd. 7 Aug., 1968 [8 Aug., 1967], No. 36424/67. Heading F2H. A resilient bush 10 comprises an annular head 11, an annular groove 14 bounded by abutment surfaces 15, 15a, a shank 12 and a generally biconical bore 19, 20. The biconical construction of the bore forms a restricted neck 21 which grips a pin, the bush being inserted in an aperture in a panel. The shank is longitudinally split into two resilient legs by a slot extending to the head 11. The bush is preferably formed from nylon or any suitable synthetic resin and is injection moulded. In a modification, the junction of the conical portions of the bore forming the restricted neck is rounded.
