Abstract

1,179,897. Wells &c. HOESCH A.G. and BOCHUMER EISENHUTTE HEINTZMANN & CO. 7 March, 1967 [2 April, 1966], No. 10718/67. Heading E1F. A tunnel &c. lining is formed from rings or arches built up from sections 1a which are channel shaped and have edges 1b, 1c shaped so that adjacent rings or arches interlock. Butt joints in the rings are aligned axially of the tunnel, and are held together by straps 7 which extend over adjacent sections. Jointing is inserted between the interlocking edges and beneath the straps. The straps may be stiffened by plates 9.
