Abstract
1,178,323. Oxychlorination catalysts. CENTRAL GLASS CO. Ltd. 12 May, 1967 [16 May, 1966], No. 22210/67. Heading B1E. [Also in Division C2] Oxychlorination catalysts comprise a mixture of CuCl 2 and a condensed phosphate from the group NaPO 3 , KPO 3 , Na 4 P 2 O 7 , K 4 P 2 O 7 and Na 5 P 3 O 10 supported on a carrier. Preferred carriers are diatomaceous earth, activated alumina and silica gel. The catalyst may be shaped into pellets 2-3 mms. in diameter.
