Abstract

117,819. Gaudart, E. E. R. April 28, 1917, [Convention. date]. Materials, fibrous; pulp, preparation of.- Cellulose is obtained from coco-nuts. The milk is extracted from the fresh kernel of the coco-nut by crushing to a paste with the addition of skimmed coco-nut milk from a later stage, and then separating the cellulose in a filter-press. A portion of the milk may first be extracted by treating the coarsely-crushed kernels in a screwpress.
