Abstract

1,177,504. Ball mills; mixing apparatus. A. SZEGVARI. 7 Aug., 1967 [9 Aug., 1966], No. 35542/66. Headings B1C and B2A. A mill comprises a vessel 7, Fig. 1, charged with balls 9 and having a rotatable agitator which comprises a vertical shaft 5 with tangentially attached arms 8 each having its opposite ends exposed and attached to the shaft at only one location. The balls may be e.g., of stearite and from "1/32" to "#" diameter An arm may be pointed at the leading and enlarged at the trailing end, Fig. 4, or curved.
