Ni ferrite containing Co and Pb oxides, having the following composition in mole per cent: Fe 2 O 3 .. .. .. 38-48 . NiO.. .. .. 50-60À8 CoO .. .. .. . 0À7-2 PbO .. .. .. 0À5-3 may be prepared by mixing the oxides, or compounds which decompose to the oxides, in a vibratory mill, calcining at 900‹ C., crushing, mixing with aqueous polyvinyl alcohol, pressing at 2000 kg./cm<SP>2</SP>., drying, and firing at 900- 980‹ C. The product has a permeability of 3-7 G/oe. and losses <0À3, operating at 100-400 mc/s.
