Abstract

1,176,405. Pay windows. LEAVLITE Ltd. 23 Aug, 1968 [5 Sept., 1967], No. 40537/67. Heading E1J. A pay window assembly comprises a vertical transparent screen resistant to penetration by missiles and shown as in two partially overlapping panels 10, 11 with the upper panel 10 nearer to the customer and with a small gap 12 between the overlapping parts of the screen, the lower edge of the lower panel 11 extending into a money transfer container in the form of a dish 13 and leaving a gap 14 between the bottom of the dish and the lower edge of the panel 11, and a counter surface 18 extending at least on the cashier side of the screen and being at a level above the lower edge of the panel 11. The dish 13 is mounted in an aluminium tray 17 leaving a gap 16 between the dish and tray which latter being non- resistant to bullets.
