Abstract

1,176,032. Furniture joints. DARE-INGLIS PRODUCTS Ltd. 7 March, 1968 [10 March, 1967], No. 11491/67. Heading A4H. [Also in Division E2] The seat 12 of a chair is detachably secured to the tubular leg frame 11 by a resilient channel shaped metal damn 19 which is forced over a member 11a of the leg frame and then slid therealong until waist portions 22 of the clamp engage under the arcuate head of a T-shaped mounting 14 secured to the seat. The clamp is locked by slots 23 therein snaping over projections 18 on the sides of the mounting 14. A lug 26 on the mounting 14 is a good fit in a hole 27 in the frame member 11a. In a modification sprags (23b) (Figs. 7, 8) on the clamp engage grooves (32) on the mounting and the projections 18 are not provided.
