Abstract

1,175,758. Discharging hoppers. WESTING- HOUSE BRAKE & SIGNAL CO. Ltd. 1 Nov., 1968 [15 Nov., 1967], No. 51985/67. Heading B8S. The bottom of a hopper is provided with a valve in the form of casing 1 securable to the bottom of the hopper and provided with two gates 10 pivoted at 11 and engaging with bar 5 positioned therebetween. Handle 19 is secured to one shaft 11 the other shaft 11 being driven therefrom by a gear connection. In operation the two gates thus move in contrary directions, when handle 19 is rotated.
