Abstract
1,171,848. Silicone coatings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 26 Sept., 1967 [20 Oct., 1966], No. 43797/67. Headings B2E and B2K. [Also in Division C3] A room-temperature vulcanizing coating composition comprises (1) a silane having 1 or 2 Si-bound amino groups and 1 or 2 Si-bound acyloxy groups and optionally up to 2 alkoxy and/or monovalent hydrocarbon groups and (2) a liquid hydroxy-terminated polydiorganosiloxane (see Division C3). In Example 12 a mixture of a dihydroxy polydimethylsiloxane and acetoxy (isopropylamino) dimethoxysilane is poured onto woven glass cloth and cured in moist air to a reinforced rubber sheet. In Example 13 a mixture of a similar polysiloxane and acetoxy (isopropylamino) diathoxysilane with fumed silica and red iron oxide is trowelled onto concrete and cured in moist air.
