[Also in Division A5] A device for protecting a bandage or plaster casing on a leg comprises a waterproof shield having a foot portion to extend over the foot of the wearer and a leg portion to extend over at least a part of the leg of the wearer, a part of the device remote from the foot portion having its inner surface formed with corrugations that, in use, extend around the leg above or below the knee to provide a plurality of seals for opposing the entry of water into the device. As shown, the waterproof covering i, j, c is of rubber material and the upper part c of the leg portion is sealed to the leg by a composite sealing ring which includes an outer rubber or plastics part e and an inner part f of soft rubber. The outer part e of the sealing ring has grooves g which mate with projections a on the waterproof covering, and the inner part f of the ring has corrugations h which seal against the leg. In a modification, the sealing ring is omitted and the inner surface of the upper part of the covering is corrugated and seals directly with the leg.
