Abstract

1,170,370. Aerials. RAYTHEON CO. 4 Sept., 1967 [16 Sept., 1966], No. 40398/67. Heading H4A. [Also in Division H1] In the aerial systems described in Specification 1,070,549, each phase shifter is modified (see Division H1) in that a quarter-wave plate is inserted between the ferrite element and the reflective end of the waveguide in order to impart reciprocal properties to the phase shifter, i.e. circularly-polarized waves of either hand suffer the same phase shift.
