1,170,135. Drinking cup. MASCHINENFABRIK RISSEN G.m.b.H. 30 Jan., 1967 [3 Feb., 1966], No. 4459/67. Heading A4A. A cup made of flexible material, particularly a material which is coated with polyethylene, consisting of a closed bonded jacket 1 whose edge is turned over to form a rolled lip or rim 2, a base 3, and a handle 4, whose gripping parts 5, being freely foldable around the cup jacket, are fixed onto a fastening strip 6, which is joined to the outer surface of the jacket by adhesion or sealing and has an extended upper section (60 not shown) which is completely or partially rolled into the rolled lip or rim. Alternatively the overlap 7 of the jacket block 8 and 9 may terminate at a point below the rolled lip or rim and the edges of the blank above this point are rolled into the lip or rim abutting against each other, or with the smallest possible gap there-between (14 not shown) and are connected by the fastening strip of the handle.
