Abstract

1,169,503. Artificial trees. K. CHAO LU. 7 May, 1968 [8 May, 1967], No. 21468/68. Heading A4X. An artificial tree comprises hollow limbs 18 connected by coupling members 16 to a hollow trunk (12) and electrical conductors 34 extending through the trunk and the limbs 18 to light sockets 28 interposed in the limbs 28. Branches 20 of plastics material extend from the limbs 18. The inner ends of the limbs 18 are pivotally mounted in recesses 24 formed in tubes 22 extending from the coupling members 16. The electrical sockets include spikes (32) for piercing the conductors 34. The limbs 18 have hooks 42 for ornamental balls 44. The trunk is made in sections of graduated sizes.
