Abstract

1,169,429. Crying doll. DE LUXE TOPPER CORP. 12 June, 1967 [6 Oct., 1966], No. 26958/67. Heading A6S. [Also in Division F2] A "crying" doll, with "feeding" and "wetting" features, in which the weeping mechanism is magnetically operated via a rotatory valve (F2V). The magnet is mounted on a spindle carrying a spring loaded plate which covers the "tear" conduit outlets. A magnet moved outside the doll's head causes the internal magnet to rotate uncovering the said outlets and producing "tears" at the doll's eyes. The reservoir is recharged by "feeding" excess "feed" being lost via the "wetting" conduit. Ball valves in the "feeding" conduit and in an air inlet control the flow of tear-fluid. The doll may be inverted without loss of tear fluid.
