Abstract

1,168,825. Warp sizing machine. MASCHINENFABRIK BENNINGER A.G. 21 Oct., 1966 [2 Nov., 1965], No. 47125/66. Heading D1M. The beaming mechanism of a warp sizing machine has lifting gear for lifting warp beams into and out of the machine, and a presser roll urged against the windings on the beam by pneumatic cylinders. The various actions are controlled by manual operation of an 8-position switch, which is provided with a latch to prevent it from being turned to the next setting until the previous action has been completed; the latch is actuated by an electromagnet controlled by micro-switches operated by the various moving parts. The eight settings of the switch correspond to: move presser roll away from beam; stop beam drive; raise empty lifting gear; lower full beam out of machine; lift fresh beam into machine; lower empty lifting gear; start beam drive; move presser roll into contact with beam.
