The combustion products from the primary combustion chamber 2 of an incinerator are fed into the flames of a burner 14 in a secondary combustion chamber 12 as a number of separate streams formed by passing the gases through holes 16 near the bottom of a partition 15 dividing the secondary combustion chamber.
