[Also in Division B7] Articles having hollow cores are produced by vacuum cast moulding by placing an air-tight core in the mould cavity, the core having been wrapped in reinforcing fibres, e.g. glass fibres, before placing in the mould, and pouring in moulding material, e.g. synthetic resin while applying a vacuum. The example describes the production of hollow, fibreglass-reinforced oars.
