Abstract

1,165,051. Watchman-location system. HORSTMANN GEAR CO. Ltd. 6 March, 1968 [31 May, 1967], No. 25199/67. Heading G4T. A watchman-location system comprises a mobile radio transmitter having a loop aerial to detect a carrier frequency from a number of generators located at individual check-points, each generator modulating its signal with a characteristic location frequency, and having a demodulator which passes a detected location frequency to a carrier-wave continuously transmitted by the transmitter, a remote receiver tuned to the carrier-wave and having filters corresponding to each location frequency which operate a respective relay to light a lamp on receipt of the appropriate frequency. An illuminated lamp remains alight until another relay is operated. The transmitter may be a V.H.F. transmitter.
